GENERAL INFO
Mining of Mineral Deposits (MMD) is a peer review journal in the field of mining and relevant issues and aims to publish original papers, review papers, technical reports and short communications that are expected to be interesting for mining engineers and scientists that are not published or not being considered for publication elsewhere. MMD appears four times, March, June, September, and December every year. MMD offers:
- Publication within a short period after acceptance;
- On-line publication in advance of the printed journal;
All submitted papers are evaluated by independent experts within the same field of research. We aim to reach a final decision on publication within one to three months of submission for all papers. Accepted papers are published electronically on the journal website as they become ready. Once published, papers are then be selected for a subsequent print issue.

FUNDING BODY
As an open access publisher, MMD Journal charges a publication fee to cover the publication costs, which covers but not limits to the following aspects: publication, inclusion in databases and libraries, DOI system fees, typesetting expenses and staff costs.All articles published in Mining of Mineral Deposits are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management, an article processing charge (APC) applies to papers accepted after peer review.
Mining of Mineral Deposits, as a non-profit project of Ukrainian School of Mining Engineering, takes care about the scientific achievements of scientists worldwide and decided to cover the half part of the publication charges. Each year several selected papers (for invited authors only and authors of highly cited papers) are granted to be published free of charge.
The publication fee is as follows for authors from*:
- Ukraine: 8000* UAH
- European countries: 500 EUR
- other parts of the World: 500 USD
*Please note that for papers accepted for publication after June 30, 2024, an APC of 10000 UAH will apply.
The corresponding author will receive bank details by email after paper accepted. Payment can be provided using SWIFT, which guarantees a fast and secure transaction (as the order title please write: Mining of Mineral Deposits – publication, a surname of the first author.
JOURNAL ORDERS
Orders of past or future issues of “Mining of Mineral Deposits” are always welcome.
The costs of the journal per issue are 200 EUR or 200 USD plus shipping (costs for proceedings on demand).
