ABSTRACT
The article translators and editors of the first Ukrainian-language edition of book by G. Agricola “De Re Metallica” characterizes this fundamental work and lead a short biography of the author. It shows the importance of scientific and literary monument to modern mining education and humanitarian ambiance.
