ABSTRACT
Issues about energy security of Ukraine and role of coal as perspective component in balance of energy production are considered. Tendencies of mines division into patterns of ownership and role of program on coal industry restructuring are shown. Necessity of coal industry transition to market economy that will allow to redefine work of coal enterprises on a new level is proved.
